Riding into the Light
With winter rapidly approaching, there are increasingly few days left to rise in darkness, long before the sun has cracked the horizon, and venture onto the streets of New York City. However with reasonable weather and perhaps a touch of irrational thinking, we decided to meet far too early on a Friday morning with the goal of escaping the city for some pre-dawn miles in New Jersey.
Our early start left us hitting the GWB before the sun had cracked the horizon and provided an eery start on River Road, but by the time we passed back under the GWB to the first rays of morning sunrise there was no doubt that the painfully early start was worth every minute of lost sleep. We often say every ride has a story and this would be the story of a perfect morning spent riding into the light.
